State Labor Council Endorses Chris Reykdal
This Saturday, delegates to the Washington State Labor Council’s COPE (Committee on Political Education) Convention gathered in Seattle to consider endorsements in this year’s Legislative, Congressional, and statewide elections. In the race for the open house seat in the 22nd Legislative District, COPE delegates gave their sole endorsement to Tumwater School Board member Chris Reykdal.
“I’m absolutely honored to have received the endorsement of the Washington State Labor Council,” said Reykdal, who had already been endorsed by IAM Local 751, Operating Engineers Local 612 and each of the four IAFF locals in the 22nd District. “Thurston County’s families deserve a legislator who will be a champion on the issues that matter most – fighting for working families, creating jobs, enhancing our schools, and an impassioned commitment to reforming our regressive and outdated tax system. If the voters of the 22nd District honor me with the opportunity to serve in the Legislature, I will work closely with the State Labor Council to achieve these shared goals.”
In addition to the State Labor Council’s endorsement, over 35 community leaders, local elected officials and State Legislators have endorsed Chris Reykdal’s campaign. To view the entire list of endorsers, click here.
