SEIU Locals Award Sole Endorsement To Our Campaign!

Yesterday, Service Employee International Union (SEIU) Locals 1199NW, 775NW, 925, and PSE-1948 (Public School Employees) jointly announced their endorsement of our campaign! They join a substantial list of labor unions, education organizations, elected officials, and community leaders who have endorsed our campaign in the past several months.

We've won the support of nearly every labor organization that has endorsed to date; earning a sole endorsement from sixteen union locals, and sharing a dual endorsement from the Washington Federation of State Employees. I am thankful for the overwhelming support I have received from the labor family. In total, these organizations represent over 600,000 Washingtonians! As a State legislator, you not only focus on your own district, but you are also compelled to create policies that improve the lives of workers and families throughout the State. I will fight for workers every day and empower those who do not come from a background of wealth and privilege.

Washington State, like the nation, continues to manage our economy with the false promise of trickle-down economics; offering tax breaks to big corporations while we dismantle support for schools, vulnerable families, senior citizens, and working-class people. I am determined to refocus state government back on the side of kids, senior citizens, and hard-working people who are struggling to make ends meet.
