Sam Hunt Has Endorsed Our Campaign!

Today, long time State Representative Sam Hunt endorsed Tumwater School Board member Chris Reykdal in his campaign for the State Legislature. Hunt joins Representative Brendan Williams, over 50 elected officials and community leaders and over 20 organizations who have endorsed Reykdal’s candidacy.

“The 22nd District is fortunate to have four highly qualified Democratic candidates seeking election to the seat being vacated by Representative Brendan Williams. Like many voters, I have spent recent months watching the candidates and trying to decide which one I will vote for in the primary. It is a tough decision, but in my mind there is one candidate who stands above all the rest – Chris Reykdal,” said Rep. Hunt. He continued, “Chris Reykdal is not afraid to take stands on hot issues. He regularly points out that Washington's tax structure is broken. Chris knows that we will continue on the economic roller coaster we have been riding since the 1980s if we do not change our course. He is committed to action that will bring financial stability to our state. I am proud to join Representative Brendan Williams and many others in endorsing Chris Reykdal.”

“I am honored to have Sam Hunt’s support in this campaign,” commented Reykdal, whose campaign has visited nearly 10,000 homes across the district. “For years, Sam has put the needs of our community ahead of special interests. He’s been a champion for education, public employees, and the small businesses that operate in our community. Sam is a tremendous public servant! I hope to work together with Sam Hunt and Karen Fraser to fix our broken tax system in Washington State so we can truly invest in our schools, our environment, and the public and private employees that are the heart and soul of our community.”
